We will first send you the draft translation so that you can check for errors or inaccuracies. For NAATI orders, the final document carries the NAATI stamp and signature. Standard certified translations are issued on our official letterhead.
You have 3 days from delivery of the draft to request revisions before we finalise the translation, and a further 15 days after final delivery to request any additional changes. Revisions are free provided the original document hasn't changed — material changes to the source document may incur additional fees or require a full retranslation.
Yes — payment is required upfront. We accept bank transfers and credit/debit cards. Once you approve the quotation and complete payment, we begin the translation.
We advise our clients to send us a clear scanned copy of the original document. We accept PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and common image formats. For InDesign, Illustrator or other design files, email us, and we'll confirm we can work with them.
Yes. Our pricing depends on the type, length, complexity and turnaround time of your translation.
For standard documents such as birth, death, marriage, divorce certificates, driver's licences, passports, police checks, academic transcripts, medical reports and bank statements, certified translation starts from AU$60 per page. A page is calculated as up to 250 words, and you'll see the exact price before payment.
For business, legal, medical and technical content, pricing starts from AU$25 per 100 words for general business text. Specialist content may cost more depending on the language pair, complexity, terminology, formatting and project requirements. Larger or multi-document projects can also be quoted on a project basis.
For a detailed breakdown of translation costs, see our Translation Services Rate guide. You can also get an instant price for a standard document or request a custom quote for a larger or more complex project.
We are a 100% online translation service company. You can send us a scanned photocopy of the document by filling out the form or emailing us. There is no need to physically visit our office.
Yes, we offer discounts on bulk orders. Contact our support team to get a customised and non-binding quotation.
Yes. Corrections to our translation are free within 15 days of final delivery, provided the source document hasn't changed. If you supply an amended or different source document, or want changes beyond correcting our work, we'll quote before proceeding.
Turnaround times start once your order has been reviewed, confirmed and assigned to a translator, not from the time of payment. If we miss an expedited deadline for reasons within our control, we'll refund the expediting fee. NAATI-certified turnaround depends on certified translator availability and can't be guaranteed.
Yes. We cover 150+ languages and dialects. NAATI-certified translators are available for most of these — contact us to confirm your language pair.
We advise clients to ensure that the scanned copy and handwriting are readable. Also, ensure that the physical document is not damaged and the words are readable. You must also provide us with the English spelling of names to ensure accuracy and precision.
However, translating handwritten documents usually incurs extra costs, as we use modern technology such as Handwritten Text Recognition (HTR) to extract the text before a human translator works on it.
Yes. Cancellation requests must be emailed to info@australiantranslationservices.com.au from the email address used to place the order — we can't accept cancellations by phone. Orders are usually assigned to a translator within minutes, so the refund depends on how much work has been completed when we process your request: a full refund if no work has started, a pro-rata refund if work is underway, and no refund once the translation is complete. Full details are in our Refund, Cancellation & Money-Back Guarantee Policy.
Yes, for certified translations submitted for official purposes in Australia, including Department of Home Affairs and visa applications. If the translation is rejected because of an error in our translation or certification, send us the official rejection notice within 3 days, and we'll provide a corrected translation, a full retranslation or a refund. The guarantee covers our translation and certification only — it doesn't cover rejections caused by the source document you supplied.
